Sinner by Ted Dekker is the 3rd book in the Paradise Trilogy by Ted Dekker. If book 1 was a fantasy thriller, and book 2 was a political thriller, then book 3 is an interesting hybrid between the two.
The main story succeeds as a fierce indictment on politics and culture’s relationship with religion. Despite being published 15 years ago, it offers a surprisingly accurate depiction of where our world is currently headed.
At the same time however, it continues book 2’s trend of ruining previous characters and storylines, including abandoning important characters, not wrapping up plot lines, and one glaring twist that doesn’t make any sense or contribute to the story (WHY KELLY!?!).
